ABOUT:
PDEXCIL – Powerloom Development & Export Promotion Council is set up by Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. PDEXCIL is a non-profit organization working for the development of Powerloom Industry in India and promoting export of Fabrics and Made ups from Powerloom Manufacturers. It is the only council which is not only focusing upon export promotion but also working on development of powerloom industry. PDEXCIL has been involved in the textile business contributing to the growth of India’s textile export, connecting with the international markets and development and expansion of powerloom industry within India.
The main objectives of the PDEXCIL is to promote, support, develop, advance and increase powerlooms and export of Powerloom fabrics and made-ups thereof and to carry out any such activity in such manner as may be necessary or expedient.
25th Annual General Meeting of The PDEXCIL
The Powerloom Development & Export Promotion Council held its 25th AGM on 11th December, 2020 (Friday) at 11:30 AM in West End Hotel, Mumbai.
The speech that was delivered by The Chairman M.A. Ramasamy on this occasion is as follows:
Dear Colleagues, Members, Special Invitees and Respected Textile Commissioner
Very Good Morning to All!
I am very glad to take charge as the new Chairman of PDEXCIL and is grateful to all our
members and express my gratitude to them.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of Powerloom Development & Export Promotion
Council (PDEXCIL), I take this opportunity of extending a very cordial welcome to Respected Textile Commissioner, Officers of Textile Commissioner Office, Vice Chairman, Immediate Past Chairman, all COA Members and Members of the council in the 25th Annual General Meeting of the Council. I feel thrilled and overwhelmed to address you in this particular Annual General Meeting, as you all are aware that, our Council has completed 25 years of its dedicated service to the powerloom sector.
I would like to mention here that we didn’t had a permanent Executive Director from past sometime, however I am happy to inform you all that now Mr. Mahesh N. Sanil has now joined our council as Executive Director and I am very hopeful that with his vast experience the council will raise to newer heights.
Also I would like to take this opportunity to appreciate our Immediate past chairman,
Shri Sunil Patil for his dedicated service in this council.
The 25th Annual Report comprising the Board of Directors report, Audited Annual
Accounts along with the Auditor’s Report for the financial year ended 31st March 2020,
major activities undertaken by the Council during the year has been placed to all members. I assume them to be read. I would now request Shri Sunil Patil, our Immediate Past Chairman to address all esteemed members about the Council’s past activities during his tenure as Chairman, PDEXCIL.
