The Jharkhand state government will make the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) its ‘national industry partner’ for two years. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be soon signed between the state industries department and the industry federation. Chief minister Hemant Soren has agreed to the pro-forma of the MoU.
The purpose of the MoU is to push up growth and make the state’s economy stronger in the post-COVID era. Steps would be taken to ensure that natural resources of the state can be properly used, skilled and semi-skilled workers are offered jobs, investment is increased and ease of doing business is promoted, a FICCI press release said.
The sectors identified are textiles and garments, food processing, pharmaceutical, health care, manufacturing, cottage Industries, tourism and eco-tourism.
