The retailer has launched a dedicated store for masks on its platform. The store offers masks from more than 35 sellers across the country. Buyers can purchase masks from popular brands like Louis Philippe, Max and W for Women as well as from local sellers.
Amazon Mask store offers surgical masks, N95 masks and cloth masks. As per Amazon, specialized masks — N95 and surgical masks have seen a surge in demand, cloth masks have proven to be equally effective. The Indian government and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have also issued an advisory on usage of cloth masks or homemade mask as an approved option to contain the spread.
The e-commerce has also created a dedicated supply store for products like where customers can buy PPE kits, masks, sanitizers, gloves etc. In May earlier this year, Amazon Business launched Covid-19 Supplies Store for businesses and front line organisations like healthcare to purchase covid-19 related essentials in bulk.
