On October 16, 2024, a significant meeting was held in the industrial area of Sitapura, Jaipur, focusing on investment opportunities. The session was organised under the auspices of the district administration and led by Additional District Magistrate Mrs Kuntal Bishnoi. Key members and officials from the Association of Garment Exporters, Sitapura (AGES) participated in discussions regarding investment prospects in Jaipur.

The meeting featured prominent figures such as AGES President Mr Arif Kagzi, Vice President Mr Dinesh Gupta, General Secretary Mr Monu Karnani, Treasurer Harish Punjabi, Founder Mr Dalpat Lodha, and Mr Rajiv Diwan. Approximately 25 to 30 entrepreneurs attended the gathering. During the discussions, AGES highlighted that there are currently around 300 garment units operating in the Sitapura industrial area, with 175 of these being AGES members. Collectively, these units generate an annual trade volume of approximately ₹1,500 crores, providing direct and indirect employment to nearly 200,000 individuals. Notably, established units contribute around ₹500 crores in exports.

In addition to this, there is a growing trend among AGES members to establish units in a new industrial area proposed by RIICO near Chaksu. During the meeting, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) were signed for an investment of ₹1,000 crores in this new area, which is expected to create around 10,000 jobs and involve an investment of approximately ₹700 crores within two years after land allocation.

Furthermore, the General Manager of the District Industry and Commerce Center provided guidance to entrepreneurs on how to benefit from various state government schemes aimed at fostering industrial growth.
