Tonello will return to Amsterdam on October 23 and 24, 2024, at booth #22, Blue Area, to showcase a novel workwear concept that demonstrates how even clothing that is designed primarily for pragmatic purposes can be transformed into art.
With Metamorphosis: True Italian Workwear, Tonello focuses on how responsible technical innovation can be used to remake, revitalize, and change some famous Italian traditional clothing pieces.
As a result, our people’s everyday work clothing and overalls serve as the subject of an eye-catching collection that emphasizes the significance of their labor on a daily basis.
With DyeMate and the Laundry (R)Evolution, commonplace and “humble” clothing is reimagined in a completely new way and given a contemporary makeover.
With the help of DyeMate, the first patented indigo garment dying method, which combines indigo and sulfur dyes to produce an authentic, vintage look reminiscent of the workwear world of the past, garments acquire the color depth and contrasts typical of denim. THE Laser and the All-in-One System work together to create the Laundry (R)Evolution, which offers distinctive and completely responsible finishing effects.
In Amsterdam we will be the protagonists of these collaborations as well:
SAKE – The second episode of the artistic collaboration that this time will involve designers Sadia Rafique and Matt Duckett, under the artistic direction of Mohsin Sajid. This project, which combines creativity and technological innovation, is supported by top weavers, fiber and chemical manufacturers. The result is a collective work in which denim meets art in a fusion of style and responsibility.
