A Thriving Industry: Thailand at the Forefront

According to a research report, the nonwoven fabric market was valued at US$50.33 billion in 2023 and is projected to reach US$148.387 billion by 2036. Thailand, with its substantial production capacity of 162,000 tonnes per year, dominates the regional market. This growth is propelled by the industry’s shift towards high-value production through innovative and sustainable technologies.

Dr. Chanchai Sirikasemlert, Executive Director of the Thailand Textile Institute, emphasized, “The Thai textile industry is adapting to a new era focused on creating added value with advanced innovation and technology. Nonwoven fabrics, favored for their durability, water resistance, and environmental benefits, are at the forefront of this shift. We recognized the potential and readiness of Thailand. ANTEX Asia 2024 is one of our initiatives to promote trade and investment in the nonwoven industry and we look forward for Thailand as the production and export hub in Southeast Asia.”

ANTEX Asia 2024: A Premier Platform for the Nonwovens Industry in Southeast Asia & ASEAN Regions

ANTEX Asia 2024, co-hosted by the Thai Nonwoven Fabrics Industry Trade Association and the Thailand Textile Institute and organized by MGT Expo Planning and Management Ltd., Baobab Tree Event Management Co. Ltd., and Tradelink Co. Ltd., is expected to further cement Thailand’s position as a center for nonwoven innovation manufacturing and trade.

ANTEX Asia 2024 will feature:

  • Over 100 exhibitors from 10 countries and regions, offering a variety of materials, production technologies, equipment, and applications across various industries.
  • Major industry players in the nonwovens industry, including Teijin, Narula, Tietex, Optima, Reifenhäuser Reicofil, Herrmann, Technical Absorbents, Wangbo, Kae Hwa, Shanghai Kingfo, Jiangsu Yingyang, Kingsafe and more have confirmed their participation. This event serves as the perfect setting to establish valuable industry contacts and drive business growth.
  • The ANTEX Asia Nonwovens Conference 2024 will be held concurrently with the Expo, where industry experts will discuss the latest trends in nonwovens, healthcare/personal care, circular economy, and the latest updates on nonwoven technologies.
  • The Expo will also feature various networking and sector-specific events, enabling participants to connect with key players through effective business matchmaking and targeted events to facilitate deeper engagement and collaboration.

The nonwoven sector has a crucial part in manufacturing, and Thailand plays a key role in the automotive industry, producing over 1.7 million automobiles yearly. The synergy between these industries highlights the huge market need and growth potential. “The nonwoven industry is a high-potential sector, essential to the medical, hygiene, and automotive industries, driven by a global shift towards sustainable, environmentally friendly products,” said Niwat Lersnimitthum, Chairman of the Thai Nonwoven Fabrics Industry Trade Association.
