Shanghai, 2 October 2024. The show, which is scheduled to take place from March 11–13, 2025, at Shanghai’s National Exhibition and Convention Center, is expected to build on the popularity of the previous Spring Edition and offer green yarn and fiber companies from all over the world another important platform. Nearly 22,000 buyers interacted with over 515 exhibitors from 11 different countries and regions at the 2024 event; the number of international exhibitors more than quadrupled from the previous year, while the number of domestic exhibitors increased by 27%. Yarn Expo Spring 2025 seeks to foster sustainable growth and innovation in the sector in addition to Messe Frankfurt’s continuous focus on sustainability through its Texpertise Econogy project [1].
“Yarn Expo Spring 2024 provided exhibitors with unparalleled access to a global customer base, and the positive feedback underscores the show’s position as Asia’s leading yarn and fiber platform,” said Ms. Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. We’re determined to maintain this momentum and make the show’s emphasis on sustainable solutions even stronger in the upcoming edition.
The global cotton yarn market is anticipated to develop significantly, rising to USD 120.4 billion by 2032 (CAGR: 7.5% from 2023 – 2032), among other important sub-sectors. [2]. Growing demand, more government backing, and the fashion industry’s growing consciousness of sustainability are the main drivers of this expansion. Key exhibitors at the previous edition showcased eco-friendly solutions, such as recycled and regenerated fibers and eco-friendly cotton yarns, in response to the feeling of the sustainable market.
“We are showcasing a wide variety of sustainable products across the industry, such as organic cotton, recycled polyester, and sustainable viscose,” said Mr. Sharad Sanghai, Director of Texperts, during his speech at the 2024 edition. The foundation of all we do is sustainability. Taking into account the requirement for environmental sustainability and human welfare, the sector is headed in the correct direction.
Guiding the industry towards sustainable development

She added: “I took a quick stroll around the show to explore new materials and diverse functional yarns in the industry, as well as the sustainable practices adopted by various enterprises.”
