Reducing the environmental effect of textile production is possible with the introduction of Lenzing Group’s LENZINGTM ECOVEROTM Viscose with REFIBRATM technology. This method combines wood-based raw materials with at least 20 percent recycled material from pre- and post-consumer textile waste.

The goal of REFIBRA technology is to facilitate the fashion industry’s transition to circularity. The technique contributes to a more sustainable value chain by incorporating recycled content into the effective production process of standard LENZING ECOVERO fibers, thereby reducing reliance on virgin raw materials.

LENZING ECOVERO Viscose maintains its high caliber even with recycled materials included. Innovations in circular design are made possible by technology, which motivates companies to find new uses for post-consumer textile waste.

Lenzing demonstrated its commitment to promoting circularity in the textile sector last year at a number of trade fairs by showcasing the REFIBRA technology used in LENZING ECOVERO Viscose. Lenzing is promoting systemic shifts toward lower-impact methods and sustainable textile production through partnerships with mills and brands.
