Indorama Ventures Public Co. Ltd. (IVL) has expanded its range of sustainable products to include polyamide (PA) and PET polyester chips, fibers, and fabrics by obtaining ISCC+ accreditation for three more fiber manufacturing locations. This certification is in line with the business’s mission to offer environmentally friendly solutions to a range of sectors.

The recently certified high-performance fiber portfolio will serve consumers in need of strong and long-lasting technical yarns, especially in the airbag, mobility, tire cord, industrial, and mechanical rubber goods sectors.

Mass-balanced PA 6.6 and 4.6 yarns will now be available at Indorama Ventures’ locations in Obernburg, Germany, and Pizzighettone, Italy. These goods, which were created in association with important partners, have the same functionality as regular PA yarns but cut greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by roughly 55% at the polymer level.

Furthermore, the Obernburg facility will manufacture bio-based, high-tenacity PA 4.10 mass-balanced yarn that is intended for use in specialty applications and tire cords. With its 100% bio-content polymer composition and use of bio-based di-amino butane (DAB) and sebacic acid, this yarn provides a high-performance, environmentally friendly substitute.
