Cary, NC, August 22, 2024 – INDA During the week of August 5th, 2024, Louisville, Kentucky, hosted the NCSL Legislative Summit, which was attended by the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry. Hundreds of state lawmakers and their staff, foreign delegates, and summit attendees interacted with Wes Fisher, Director of Government Affairs, and Sean Grossnickle, Government Affairs Specialist, at INDA’s booth. The attendees were keen to learn more about state legislation regarding wipes, flushability, the California Collection Study, and the workings of the nonwovens sector. This year was the first time INDA has participated in the event as an exhibitor in recent years.

“Wes Fisher stated that INDA had many opportunities to speak directly with state legislators and policy stakeholders on wipes labeling and other issues that are currently prevalent in the nonwovens industry by securing a booth during the 2024 NCSL Legislative Summit.” “The important role of nonwoven fabrics in consumer homes and industrial applications was highlighted by the high-level conversations and product demonstrations we had.”

One of the biggest and most powerful assemblies of state lawmakers, workers, businesses, government agencies, and trade groups in the country takes place each year during the NCSL Legislative Summit. The event is covered by state and national media outlets, who distribute articles and news across the nation.
