THE FIRST EDITION OF THE BAHAR FOOD EXPO WILL TAKE PART IN JAIPUR

The concentrated business event aims to highlight the expanding potential of the states of Rajasthan and its neighboring states in the manufacturing, processing, and service sectors. The food processing industry is a booming industry in India, frequently referred to as the “sunrise sector.”

With a projected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11.05%, the Indian food and beverage market, estimated to be around ₹24.57 lakh crore in 2023, is expected to reach almost ₹51.15 lakh crore by 2030. The strong success of the Indian food processing industry, which makes up 32% of the nation’s overall food market, is a contributing factor to this market expansion. Technological developments in food processing, packaging, and services are propelling the industry forward and making it easier to create creative and practical solutions. From 2024 to 2032, the Indian hospitality industry is projected to develop at a compound annual growth rate of 5.0%. The significant rise in domestic and international travel to India is the main driver of this growth.

The Bharat Food Expo presents a significant venue for the food sector, providing a chance to exhibit a diverse range of food ingredients and state-of-the-art technologies. In order to meet the growing demands in the market, this platform will be essential. Additionally, according to Anil Arora, President of ReEnvision Events Private Limited, the show’s organizer, “the expo will play a significant role in spotlighting the latest developments and innovations that are shaping the landscape of the food service industry.” The exhibition is slated to take place at JECC in Jaipur from November 13–15, 2025.

It is commonly acknowledged that the fastest-growing industries in India are those in the food and beverage sector. The abundance of raw materials available supports this growth. India is the world’s greatest producer of a number of goods, including milk, papaya, ginger, bananas, mangoes, guavas, and okra. In addition, it ranks third in the production of cereals, coconut, lettuce, chicory, nutmeg, mace, cardamom, and pepper. It is the second-largest producer of wheat, rice, fruits, vegetables, tea, sugarcane, and cashew nuts.

Rajasthan has over 956 food processing facilities, demonstrating its leadership in the agro-processing market and providing attractive investment prospects in this expanding sector. In India, the state is the leading producer of oilseeds, rapeseed, and mustard; it comes in second for garlic, coriander, cumin, pulses, and oilseeds. It is well known for being the “National Leader in Pearl Millets” and has a sizable market for candies and snacks. According to Anil Arora, “These factors undoubtedly make the city an ideal choice for an event like Bharat Food Expo.”
