The Brazilian volleyball team’s indoor and beach jerseys for the 2024 Summer Games in Paris will feature LYCRA’s COOLMAX EcoMade fabric, which is made entirely of textile waste. On June 27, Brazil’s volleyball day, these outfits debuted with a grand projection atop Rio de Janeiro’s Christ the Redeemer statue.
Athletes can keep cool and dry thanks to COOLMAX® EcoMade fiber, which transfers perspiration from the body to the fabric’s surface, where it evaporates. This fiber reduces environmental impact because it is created from pre-consumer textile waste scraps and performs similarly to virgin polyester. Additionally, the jerseys have 8% LYCRA® fabric, which improves fit and mobility.
