Shanghai, 24 July 2024. In the sectors of technical textiles and nonwovens, the German flag is a respectable brand unto itself, distinguished by its high caliber goods and cutting-edge technology. It has been confirmed that the German Pavilion, a well-known platform at one of Asia’s top industry trade shows, will make a comeback from September 19–21 at Shanghai New International Expo Center. Industry leaders uniting under one umbrella for the first time since borders reopened will support the fair’s creativity and sustainability with a comprehensive exhibition that includes raw materials and machinery, along with a variety of peripheral events spread around the fairground.

The German Pavilion, which is well-positioned in the International Hall, is expected to attract large crowds because to its reliable goods and cutting-edge technology. This year’s lineup of German exhibitors under the pavilion includes both new and returning companies who have established themselves in the subcategories of industrial-use monofilaments, automotive nonwovens, weaving machinery, and many more. Hansa Industrie-Mixer, J.H. Ziegler Nonwovens and New Materials, Lindauer Dornier, Monosuisse, and Perlon will demonstrate their knowledge alongside other featured exhibitors, which include:

New fringe events to further advocate innovation and sustainability
The first research platform devoted to AI and design integration, AidLab[1], will showcase its state-of-the-art AI-based Textile Inspection System (AiTIS) at this year’s fair. AiTIS, a world first that reflects the joint efforts of AiDLab and a Hong Kong healthcare brand, automatically and precisely diagnoses material faults in nonwovens (particularly for mask construction) and different fabrics. Professor Calvin Wong, the CEO and Center Director of AiDLab, will present the system during the function. Subsequently, there will be a panel discussion and question-and-answer period led by Mr. Barry Tai of AiDLab, featuring independent consultant Mr. Eric Sham and featuring insights on how cutting-edge technology is changing the textile business.
