Gold Long John, a prominent provider of fabric to international footwear manufacturers, is integrating the EMPEL Næ-Wick waterless and PFAS-free finishing platform into their Vietnam mill supply chain, which will significantly improve global sustainability and footwear performance.

Notably, the EMPEL N-Wick product is entirely water- and PFAS-free and has an exceptional anti-wicking capacity that outperforms other chemicals. The use of this technology by Gold Long John is essential to their production of high-performing, environmentally friendly footwear for top global brands.

The future is here with our Oeko Tex-certified EMPEL platform, according to GTT President of Global Business Development Martin Flora. “Without utilizing water or PFAS chemicals, it provides the best-performing finishes. Gold Long John was our first big footwear mill adopter in Asia, and their help has been essential to major footwear firms being able to commercially successfully use EMPEL® Nø-WickTM. We are now able to spread our clean chemistry throughout Southeast Asia, considerably lowering chemical, carbon, and water pollution while maintaining our high standards of performance because of their participation.

Kevin Wen, President of Gold Long John, stated, “Green Theme and their EMPEL® products will help us remain at the forefront of global sustainability solutions, allowing us to provide our footwear brands with highly innovative, cleaner, and better-performing materials.”
