In an official ceremony, Union Minister Shri Giriraj Singh has taken over the reins of the Ministry of Textiles from his predecessor, Shri Piyush Goyal.
The handover ceremony was held in the presence of Minister of State, Shri Pabitra Margherita, and Smt. Rachna Shah, Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles, and other senior officials.
Expressing his vision for the textiles sector, the newly appointed Minister highlighted the vast employment opportunities and significant role in global exports. He emphasised the industry’s close ties to farmers and pledged to work towards its growth under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Shri Singh’s inauguration marks the beginning of new endeavours to propel the textiles industry to greater heights.
