Port of Los Angeles sees cargo increase year-over-year in April.

In April 2024, the Port of Los Angeles reported processing 3,150,841 TEUs, a 25% increase from 2023 and 5% higher than the running five-year average. Executive director Gene Seroka stated that all operational statistics are at or above pre-COVID levels. Loaded imports for April reached 416,929 TEUs, up 21% year-over-year, while loaded exports were at 133,046 TEUs, a 51% increase YoY. April also marked the 11th consecutive month of export gains.
