March, 2024 –The introduction of new leadership marked the end of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Punjab’s Annual Session for 2023–2024 in Chandigarh.Mr. Amit Jain, Managing Director of Shingora Textiles Ltd., has been named Vice-Chairman, and Mr. Abhishek Gupta, Chief – Strategic Marketing at Trident Ltd., has been named Chairman.
Dr. P J Singh, the renowned former chairman of CII Punjab and chief medical director of Tynor Orthotics Pvt Ltd, ceremoniously passed the reins of leadership to Mr. Abhishek Gupta, chief of Trident Ltd.’s strategic marketing division.
“Cultivating a culture of innovation through R&D and partnering with academic institutions is the one agenda that CII Punjab is keen to carry forward,” he said, handing over the reins to the incoming administration. I’m confident that with Mr. Abhishek Gupta’s capable guidance, we can enable Punjabi enterprises to flourish in the cutthroat international market.
Mr. Abhishek Gupta expressed his sincere gratitude to Dr. Singh for the assigned task and stated, “The issues that Dr. PJ Singh championed are not only pertinent to the industry, but also necessary for Punjab’s ongoing development.” I promise that during my term, these and other urgent issues will continue to be at the top of our list of priorities.
