Suzanne Ellingham, Director of Sourcing, Source Home & Gift says, “This season our content programme has been created to inspire and educate visitors with many new speakers taking to the stage to discuss topics such as responsible sourcing, the power of retail transparency and how to source in new regions. Our business leaders and industry experts will share their journeys and successes through the daily sessions.”

Opening the stage on Sunday at 11am, join Kate Shepherd and Matt Parry, Co-Founders of The Future Collective for ‘Future global retail trends’. This Global Retail Trend Briefing provides an insightful deep dive into the evolution of some of the most influential themes and transitions in retail strategy and design, taking a tour of the world’s most innovative brands and shining a light on benchmarks from a wide range of sectors, and the best strategies within sustainability and regenerative design.

Running intelligence sessions and sharing insightful tips, tricks and considerations for ethically sourcing materials, Retail 100 start their 3-day run with ‘How to source in new regions, a beginner’s guide’. From 12pm – 12.45pm each day, Anna Berry, Neil Amer, Sara Allbright and Elaine Hooper from Retail 100 discuss and share their knowledge on a range of sessions covering the ‘own label’ product development, ethical sourcing and supporting talent in the sourcing and buyer community.

For those wanting to learn more about Second Hand products, Joanna Spolton, Co-Founder and Director, Rumage will discuss ‘Second hand as first choice – using marketplaces to extend the lifespan home and giftware.’  Using marketplaces to swap and sell products is slowly becoming more normalised across all industries, extending lifespans and reducing waste. Joanna will focus her discussion on how marketplaces and home and gift brands can work together to ensure consumers and brands are effectively working towards a more circular economy.

On Monday 5th February Jack Stratten, Head of Trends at Insider Trends will present ‘Sourcing and storytelling: The selling power of retail transparency.’ As shoppers become increasingly conscious of brand transparency, many retailers are discovering the power of supply chain storytelling. His presentation will examine the consumer trends driving the growth of supply chain storytelling with leading examples from across the world, and will offer tips, tools and insights for visitors to take away and improve storytelling within their business.

The schedule on Monday continues with an engaging session from SATCol on waste reduction and upcycling materials. In this session, SATCol will bring a retail partner that is successfully on their journey to reducing the environmental impact of textiles and the lessons that can be learnt across industries. Visitors can join the session to hear how they can effectively remove barriers to circularity and contribute to extending the useful life of home and giftware products.
