In the fast-paced and competitive business landscape, efficient human resource management is crucial for success. Being a General Manager at Himalaya Cotton Yarn Ltd, Surat, I understand the importance of effectively and efficiently coordinating, controlling, and directing an organisation’s human resources. By effectively managing the human resources within an organisation, companies can achieve higher productivity, cost savings, employee satisfaction, and better decision-making.

Before moving ahead with our discussion, let me begin by introducing myself. I, Gopinath Rout, currently working as a GM, hold the experience of 26 yrs in the textile industry. In these 26 years, I have been appointed DGM/PLANT and HEAD/VP/GM. After graduating from AMIE in textile engineering in (1995) and an EMBA in Marketing in 2009, I worked hard to get myself certified as a Charted Engineer from MIE and as an Approved Valuer in plant and equipment from IOV. Today, I will share my views and experience on Manpower Management, especially in the textile industry. 

Manpower management effectively manages and utilises the workforce in a textile manufacturing setting. It involves various tasks such as recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and employee motivation. Effective manpower management ensures that the right people are in the correct positions, leading to increased productivity, reduced downtime, and improved overall efficiency. Since the textile industry relies heavily on skilled workers who can handle complex machinery, follow intricate processes, and meet tight deadlines, textile organisations must manage their employees to increase productivity. 

How Do You Keep Your Manpower Efficient And Effective?

To understand how to care for the workers in your textile business, it is essential to go through the following key points.
