Piyush Goyal, the Union Minister of Textiles, Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs and Food & Public Distribution, commended the textile industry bodies for their efforts in hosting Bharat Tex 2024, the largest-ever textiles event. During the curtain raiser event held at Vanijya Bhavan, New Delhi, Goyal emphasized that the exhibition signifies India’s commitment to becoming a global textile powerhouse. He added that the expo, with its core values of innovation, collaboration, and the Make in India spirit, showcases the country’s 5F vision – Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign – and aims to produce products for the entire world. Goyal expressed hope that the event would boost the growth of the industry and demonstrate India’s potential as a mature and competitive sourcing destination in the global textile sector.

At the event, the Minister unveiled the fair logo, website, and video. He urged the industry to utilize the event as an opportunity to highlight India’s global strengths, sustainability initiatives, and the complete value chain. The grand Bharat Tex 2024 Expo is scheduled to take place from February 26-29, 2024, at the state-of-the-art Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan and Yashobhoomi at IICC, Dwarka, New Delhi. Covering over 200,000 square meters of exhibition space, the event expects exhibitors and buyers from more than 40 countries. The exhibition aims to showcase the entire textile industry value chain, from India’s rich cultural heritage and textile traditions to the latest technological innovations.

Bharat Tex 2024 is set to be an extraordinary event with over 1,000 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors. It will feature knowledge sessions, seminars, conferences, CEO roundtables, B2B & G2G meetings, as well as strategic investment announcements, product launches, and collaborations that will revolutionize the global textile industry. Additionally, the event will offer live demonstrations, cultural events, fashion presentations, designer exhibitions, brand showcases, sustainability workshops, and expert talks. Bharat Tex 2024 aims to position and showcase India’s entire textile value chain while emphasizing its strengths in fashion, traditional crafts, and sustainability initiatives.

The expo will be a remarkable opportunity for leading players from the Indian and global textile sectors to connect and explore the numerous opportunities, robust infrastructure, attractive incentives, and benefits available in India for global investors and buyers. It will also serve as a unique platform for global investors and buyers to discover India’s strength as a global manufacturing and consumer market.
