In Baddi, there is a case of a textile mill “usurping” 5.15 bighas from a villager, and the firm director and six other people are accused of forging the signature of a deceased person to do so.
The FIR was filed on July 27 by the Baddi police in accordance with instructions from a Nalagarh court, despite the fact that the case dates back to the 1990s. Devraj, the son of the landowner, claimed that he went to court because the local police ignored his request.
However, company representatives asserted that they had his father’s general power of attorney, which was signed in 1994–1955. But the son of the landowner denied their assertion.
At a press conference today in Baddi, Devraj of Dhakru Majra stated that his father Rabbal passed away on August 24, 1998. In 2004, he and his family were granted an inheritance of the land, but when they went looking for the revenue record in 2022, they discovered it was in the name of the textile company.
Dev Raj said that six years after his father’s passing in 2004, the sale was carried out using false signatures of his father. Before then, he and his brother had acquired land ownership. He declared, “The company did not even inform us about the mutation of land, which is worth crores now.” He has asked the firm to give him his land back.
According to Baddi DSP Priyank Gupta, a case was filed on July 27 in response to a complaint made by Devraj under Sections 467, 468, 470, 471, 420, 34, and 120-B of the IPC.
He claimed that in order to have the aforementioned land registered in their favour in 2004 and that it was then improperly modified in their favour in 2012, the corporation misled the revenue and legal authorities about important information. In 1994–1995, Devraj’s father signed a GPA for the aforementioned property.
