The Additional Commissioner of Labour, Coimbatore, will preside over a committee established to establish minimum salaries for textile mill workers (those employed in textile mills other than apprentices), which will meet in Erode on July 12 at 10.30 a.m.
According to a news statement from the Labour Department, members of the committee representing textile mills, unions, and the government would also meet with the employees face-to-face in the Pallipalayam region on the same day.
