Ms. Arti Bhagat, Executive Director, Worldex India and organiser of the Intex shows in South Asia stated, “Currently, Bangladesh is in the process of shifting its production base to high-end, value-added garment items. India, as the major supplier of raw material across the entire value chain ranging from cotton to man-made fibres, dyes & chemicals, and many more, facilitates Bangladesh’s pursuit of the next level of growth with high-value added apparel including manmade fibre-based garments. This upscaling highlights the potential for growing trade synergies not only between India and Bangladesh but between Bangladesh and the world.”

Since 2019, Intex Bangladesh has successfully connected 9000+ Bangladeshi textiles and RMG manufacturers with 500+ manufacturers and suppliers for facilitating sourcing requirements for exports and domestic markets. Today,
Intex has become the annual calendar event for Bangladesh’s Textile & Apparel industry, assisting the industry to upscale their “Made in Bangladesh” products and attract global buyers to source from a wide variety of textile and apparel products from Bangladesh.

This year, Intex will witness domestic & international suppliers from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Russia, Belarus, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Switzerland, UK, USA and others to exhibit and showcase their innovative and sustainable textile products, services and solutions to Bangladesh’s textiles and apparel industry.

Alongside the exhibition, Intex will host the Interactive Business Forum Seminar Series which will be managed by the Textile Focus Magazine. The Interactive Business Forum Seminar Series will feature panel discussions on contemporary subjects such as “Sustainability in Textile Industry – Reality vs Challenges” and “Innovation Product Diversification Ways to Move Forward for Bangladesh”.

WGSN, the global authority on trend forecasting will present a session on “Sustainable Fashion” at the Forum. The Business Forum will be held on 22nd and 23rd June 2023, followed by Hi-Tea and Networking reception.
