Exhibitor Preview at ITMA 2023: Baldwin Technology

At ITMA 2023, Baldwin Technology Company Inc. is eager to demonstrate to the textile supply chain how to “Finish with Perfection” using its TexCoatTM G4 precision spray finishing system. This system uses less water, uses less chemistry during system changeover, and achieves faster speeds thanks to its stenter frame and relaxed dryer.

From June 8–14, ITMA 2023 will take place at the Fiera Milano Rho Exhibition Centre in Milan. Baldwin will showcase its Plasma Pure treatmenter and TexCoat G4 at Stand H-14-C205. Participants in ITMA can stop by Baldwin’s expansive collection of TexCoat G4-applied fabric samples from textile mills all over the world to “touch” them and see what “feels” like precise finishing. There will be experts available to talk about how Baldwin Technology can help transform the textile supply chain to reach their aims for sustainability and carbon footprint reduction while enhancing efficiency and cutting costs.

Global textile finishers have welcomed TexCoat since its debut at ITMA 2015 in Milan, according to Rick Stanford, Baldwin’s VP Global Business Development, Textiles. “They have been able to exercise precision control with patented precision spray technology in addition to increasing profitability, reducing energy use, and reducing their carbon footprint.”

Customers are placing a premium on sustainability-advantageous textile production in the context of a cost-sensitive global economy and an increased attention by brands, consumers, and regulatory bodies on sustainability. Comparing the non-contact spray technology used by TexCoat G4 to more traditional and commercialised methods of applying finishing chemicals, there are many benefits to be had.A variety of low-viscosity water-based compounds, including long-lasting water-repellents like TexCoat G4’s To mention a few, there are PFAS-free softeners, anti-microbials, easy-care materials, and flame retardants. With no additional special equipment needed, the company’s method uses the same chemicals as those used in conventional pad baths.

Baldwin also provides their Plasma Pure treatment for textiles in addition to TexCoat G4. The technology improved and made the coating, laminating, and dyeing of textiles and nonwovens more effective. It effectively treats the fabric surface using an air plasma created by ceramic electrodes. The fabric’s absorption and adhesion qualities are significantly improved, productivity is increased while the absorption properties are improved with an optimised and consistent dyeing result, and the absorption process is significantly accelerated, among other advantages. Plasma Pure technique enhances the bonding strength of laminated fabrics.
