Revenue for India’s GHCL increased by 50% to 4,584 cr in FY23

Leading chemical firm in India, GHCL, reported that its net revenue increased by 50% to 4,584 crores in fiscal 2022–23 (FY23) from 3,061 crores in FY22. In addition, EBIDTA significantly increased by 106% to $1,520 crore in FY23 from 737 crore in FY22. In comparison to FY22, when PAT was $422 million, it increased by 159 percent to $1,092 million in FY23.

Similar to how the independent performance of the company’s continuous operations experienced substantial increase for the fourth quarter (Q4) of FY23 compared to Q4 FY22. The revenue increased by 8% to $1,141 crore in Q4 FY23, up from $1,058 crore in the comparable period that ended March 31, 2022. EBIDTA increased by 10% as well. 100 per cent to 370 crore, up from 338 crore in the same quarter previous year. According to a press release from the company, the PAT significantly increased by 25% to 251 crores in Q4 FY23 from 200 crores in the corresponding period last fiscal.In order to create strong, independent businesses that are ideally positioned to increase stakeholders’ value over time, the company has also demerged its spinning operation from GHCL Limited to GHCL Textiles Limited (with effect from April 1, 2023).

S. Jalan, MD of GHCL Limited, commented on the financial performance, saying: “In the most recent quarter, the worldwide demand-supply situation was largely balanced. As we enter the upcoming fiscal year, we’ll keep putting more of an emphasis on improving operational excellence, carrying out growth plans centred on digitalization, sustainable transformation, and value creation for our stakeholders.
