The creators of REPREVE and one of the top innovators in recycled and synthetic yarns, Unifi, Inc. (collectively, “UNIFI”), have announced the winners of their sixth annual REPREVE Champions of Sustainability awards, which honour pioneers in environmentally friendly manufacturing and retail. The use of single-use plastic bottles to create brand-new consumer goods and keep them out of the waste stream is recognised with international prizes.
UNIFI’s partners, who have shown a genuine dedication to a more sustainable future, include:
- Each of Deckers Brands (TEVA/UGG®) and Williams-Sonoma, Inc. has converted more than 100 million plastic bottles.
2. American Eagle Outfitters is recognised as the Newcomer Award winner for recycling more than 25 million plastic bottles in just one year.
The Special Recognition Award was given to H&M for their use ofREPREVE® More than 600 million plastic bottles have been transformed by Our OceanTM fibres and yarns.
In total, REPREVE Champions of Sustainability award winners have contributed to the creation of about 26 billion consumer goods from recycled plastic bottles.

The 33 brand and retail partners who have transformed at least ten million recycled plastic bottles and the 59 textile partners who have transformed at least fifty million recycled plastic bottles using REPREVE performance fibres will receive the 2023 REPREVE Champions of Sustainability awards.
