Women are the driving force of society and it is the time to celebrate their vital role in the design industry in honour. To commemorate the International Women’s Day, Satyam Fashion Institute Noida hosted an annual fashion show called “Triptych 2023,” in which 61 budding designers from Textile Design, Fashion Design, Fashion Communication, PGDFD and Lifestyle Accessories presented exclusive collections based on 15 themes relating to women in various roles and contexts.
TRIPTYCH 2023, a gala by Satyam Fashion Institute’s outstanding students, celebrated International Women’s Day and honoured womanhood. Their collection was innovative and fashionable. With 15 themes celebrating womanhood, the pupils are ready to conquer the world of fashion. The collection used sustainable cotton, linen, and silk. Mrs. Sneh Singh, Chairperson and Mr. Pradeep Gupta, Secretary, Satyam Group of Institutions praised the students’ passion and creativity at the spectacular event organized under the supervision of Dr. Vandana Jaglan, Principal, and Vice Principal Dr. Neetu Malhotra of SFI.
The gala evening of stunning fashion creations commenced with LIVA’- a jaw dropping collection composed of viscose based natural origin fabrics. The sustainable LIVA clothing is sponsored by Aditya Birla Group. Dharitri, inspired by the Hidden Essence of 5 Earth elements showing different emotions and personalities of an individual. Indy Bliss is inspired by a revisit to the beautiful handloom sarees of India. Dark Bloom is inspired by the Dark Bloom of the botanical that brings strength with feminine features. Zoophilist is inspired by the protection of wild animals with a collection of embroidered animal prints with complementary accessories.
Taseer is inspired by Akola collection, which remains a primitive printing method. Meraki is inspired by the colour ‘VIVA MAGENTA’ which uplifts people to take on new challenges with bold and beautiful accessories which help them stand out to be brave and confident while remaining compassionate. Truly Tribal is inspired by tree barks and using scrap wooden furniture. Color Your Profession is inspired by the return of office executives to their workplaces after Covid-19. Change Ahead is inspired by ‘Sabarmati’ showcasing the concept of ‘convertible garments. Slice It Up inspired by the concept of fruits and vegetables and bringing out the beauty of a healthy lifestyle.
Parivartan is inspired by the impact of the ocean and the colourful side of the world underwater. Healers—The Inspirational Angels is inspired by the indispensable role healthcare workers play in the sustenance of mankind. Chaap is inspired by the inner beauty that expresses compassion, talent, uniqueness, and warmth. Handloom-My Pride collection is inspired by the noble handloom weaves of India, symbolizing self-sufficiency and freedom.
Renowned designers and eminent industry persons graced the occasion as Guests of Honour and felicitated all the award winners of the day. The glamour extravaganza was witnessed by Mrs. Shashi Nangia, Ms. Sonia Jetleey, Mr. Rajeev Bansal, Mrs. Sharmila Raheja, Mr. Manish Tripathi, Ms. Tanmaya Diwedi, Ms. Anjali Sahni, Mr. Gagan Sahni, Mr. DK Singh, Mr. Himendra Gupta, Mr. Kishan Tiwari, Ms. Sapna Tiwari, Ms. Sonil Jain, Mr. Kaushik Sheel, Mr. Manish Ahuja, Mr. Deepak Gupta, Ms. Anjali Mohata, Mr. Sahil Chaudhary, Dr. Kappil Kishore, and Ms. Shivangi Kishore.
Winners of Triptych 2023
In the Textile Design category, the award for Best Surface Exploration was presented to the Taseer collection, designed by Hani Sharma, Mani Sharma, and Riya Tyagi. The Dark Bloom collection, designed by Tanya Singh and Kritika Yadav, won the Best Commercial Collection award, while the Zoophilist collection, designed by Akanksha Sharma and Kritika Maheshwari, received the Best Design Collection award.
In the Fashion Design category, Astha Kesarvani and Supriya Patel’s Slice It Up won the award for Best Surface Exploration, while Kavya Kumari, Poornima Rawat, and Roza Fatima were recognized for their Color Your Profession collection in the Best Commercial Collection category. Ragini Gupta, Sakshi Chandel, and Anisha Chauhan received the award for Best Research Work for their project Hange Ahead. The Heelers collection by Anisha Mitra and Ishita Bansal won Best Creative Collection, and Swati Sharma, Shruti Patel, and Anshu Thakur’s Parivartan collection was recognized as the Best Innovative Collection. The Chaap collection, designed by Muskan Chaudhary, Komal Tripathi, Priyanka Bhatt, and Neha Porwal, won the award for Best Graduation Show Collection.
In the Lifestyle Accessories category, Minakshi Prakash and Anusha Srivastava’s Meraki & Imitation collection won the award for Best Accessorised Collection.
In the PGDFD category, the Dhritri collection, designed by Anchal Rathee, Ankita Raj, Dipti Dorey, Divya Singh, Ekta, Prachi Kumari, Raashi, Sheetal Verma, and Yashi Mittal, won the award for Best Graduation Show & Portfolio Collection.
Finally, in the Fashion Communication category, the Entire FC Batch’s project, which included work by Shubhra Agarwal, Shreya Sachan, Divya Tyagi, Rashmi Arora, Shalini Madan, Mahima Arora, Ananya Majumdar, Megha Paliwal, Kiran Verma, Tanishka Jain, and Khushi Paruthi, won the award for Best Fashion Communication Projects.
