Steps Taken To Enhance MSME Sector Export

By establishing facilitation centres across the nation, the Center has taken steps to increase exports by the micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSME) sector, an official said on Thursday. According to D Mitra, joint director of the Indian Enterprise Development Service (IEDS), a division of the union MSME ministry, at a seminar held here, the export facilitation centres will help the sector by offering the necessary mentoring and handholding support as well as by assisting in the establishment of a network of entrepreneurial leaders. Through attending and taking part in seminars, fairs, and conferences, the Center would also assist the sector’s companies in ensuring the marketability of their goods and services, he added.

Assistance would also be provided in areas including incorporating new technologies, investigating commercial opportunities, and creating joint ventures, he said. said. The growth of digital technologies and the opening up of more export markets, according to the MSME ministry, are expanding the market. According to Mitra, now is the time to educate exporters about the current and potential benefits of export marketing for expanding the company.

The MSME ministry is striving to familiarise the units with digital marketing, help them purchase from the Government E Marketplace, and help them adjust to the rules of public procurement.
