India’s UAECP.A. Goyal had tweeted on Saturday, “We underline how the contract is a turning point in our economic ties and a model for cross-border collaboration in this piece co-written with UAE Minister of State for International Trade.

It has also strengthened India’s ties with the UAE, according to a tweet from Modi. He was responding to Piyush Goyal, the minister of commerce, who had tweeted on Saturday that the India-UAE CEPA had been signed for one year on February 18. Goyal co-authored a piece on CEPA’s one-year anniversary with Thani Al Zeyoudi, UAE’s minister of state for foreign trade.

Piyush Goyal said on Twitter, “By decreasing tariff on more than 80% of product lines, expanding market access for service exports, and enabling platform for SMEs to collaborate and grow,” Goyal and the UAE’s minister wrote in the piece. “Both the countries have envisioned a new era of opportunity in an unpredictable world.”
