3-CO Final Event: Smart Certification for Bio-Based Products

Enhancing consumer trust in sustainable, bio-based products
3-CO will showcase innovative labelling, digital tools, and social strategies at its final event on 21 October 2025.
The EU-funded research project 3-CO (Concise Consumer Communication through Robust Labels for Biobased Systems) will host its final online event, “Empowering Bio-Based Choices Through Smart Certification”, on 21 October 2025 from 9:00 to 13:30 CEST. The project will present its advancements in consumer communication by exploring consumer perspectives, attitudes, and engagement with bio-based products.
The online event brings together international certification experts, industry professionals, policymakers, researchers, social innovators, and stakeholders committed to advancing a sustainable green transition across the EU.
Many consumer products carry eco-labels claiming sustainability, bio-based content, or ethical production. However, the messages behind these certifications are often unclear. To address this, 3-CO has developed smart label design guidelines, digital support tools, and social innovation strategies to enhance transparency, build consumer trust, and improve engagement with bio-based products.
