Positioned at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Istanbul will once again host one of the textile sector’s major international gatherings with the 22nd International Istanbul Yarn Fair. The event is scheduled to take place from 26–28 March 2026 at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, bringing together yarn manufacturers, suppliers, and professional visitors from around the world.

Organised by the Tüyap Exhibitions Group, the Istanbul Yarn Fair is the longest-running and largest yarn-focused trade fair in the region. Traditionally held in February, the 2026 edition will be organised in March, offering the industry a new timeframe to connect, exchange insights, and explore business opportunities.

The exhibition will feature a broad spectrum of products, including organic, synthetic, fancy, elastane, and hand-knitting yarns. In addition to yarns, visitors will be able to review fibres and fibre products, bobbins, spools, reels, textile chemicals, and dyes, reflecting the full scope of the yarn and fibre supply chain.

A Global Platform for Trade and Networking

More than 500 exhibiting companies are expected to participate, with approximately 20,000 visitors anticipated from over 110 countries. The fair continues to attract strong interest from markets such as Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Iran, Russia, Egypt, and Algeria, supporting cross-border trade and new commercial partnerships at both regional and international levels.

Organisers estimate that the fair will facilitate a trade volume exceeding USD 10 million during the event. As Turkey’s only international trade fair dedicated exclusively to yarn, the Istanbul Yarn Fair provides a focused platform for companies seeking to expand their market reach and develop long-term business relationships.

Accessibility and Industry Impact

Istanbul’s strategic location and well-connected transport infrastructure enable easy access for participants travelling from Europe, Asia, and beyond. This accessibility supports high international participation, allowing buyers and suppliers from diverse markets to meet in a single venue.

The previous edition of the fair hosted 546 exhibitors from 18 countries and welcomed 16,921 visitors from 78 countries. For 2026, the event is expected to see broader participation and increased emphasis on innovative yarn developments and sustainable production practices. According to exhibitor feedback from last year, 95% reported overall satisfaction, while 96% indicated their intention to return. Visitor surveys reflected similar results, with 92% satisfaction and 94% expressing plans to attend again, reinforcing the fair’s position as a key international meeting point for the yarn industry.
