Knitted coats on slight rise global Export

The global export of knitted coats which was $3,963.88 million in the year 2017 has increased 9.54 per cent to $4,341.88 million in 2019. Total exports grew 1.80 per cent in 2019 over the previous year, according to data from TexPro. Further, the export is expected to move up to $4,467.69 million in 2022 with a rate of 2.90 per cent from 2019.
Whereas, the global import value of knitted coats improved 10.46 per cent to $7,043.10 million in 2019 from $6,375.93 million in 2017, according to Fibre2Fashion’s market analysis tool TexPro. Total imports climbed 2.32 per cent in 2019 over the previous year and is expected to soar to $7,322.58 million in 2022 with a rate of 3.97 per cent from 2019.
China ($1,005.69 million), Germany ($579.90 million), Belgium ($339.42 million), Italy ($283.43 million) and Spain ($266.53 million) were the key exporters of knitted coats across the globe in 2019, together comprising 57.00 per cent of total export. These were followed by Indonesia ($229.43 million), Netherlands ($193.05 million) and UK ($142.19 million).
From 2015 to 2019, the most notable rate of growth in terms of export value, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Germany (61.20 per cent), Spain (45.32 per cent) and Belgium (43.76 per cent).
US ($1,772.74 million), Germany ($839.27 million), UK ($405.39 million), France ($371.27 million) and Spain ($353.28 million) were the key importers of knitted coats in the globe in 2019, together comprising 53.13 per cent of total import. These were followed by Japan ($287.72 million), Netherlands ($281.91 million) and Canada ($231.67 million).
From 2015 to 2019, the most notable rate of growth in terms of import value, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Spain (44.51 per cent), France (43.54 per cent) and UK (32.10 per cent).
