Mankind understands textiles for centuries to come. It appears from a broad perspective that textiles have no application other than apparel. However, as a practical matter, there are non-apparel uses of textiles such as engineering fields.

Automotive cloth is the component of the cloth used in conjunction with the car i. e. It is widely used in the automotive industry, from light-duty vehicles to heavy-duty vehicles.

Automotive textiles are an important part of industrial textiles. As it can not be listed in textile apparel, it is kind of like a technical mechanical implementation like textile apparel. Industrial textiles are widely used in transport vehicles and systems, including cars , trains, buses, aircraft and marine vehicles.

Automotive textiles, which are non-clothing textiles, are widely used in vehicles such as cars, trains , buses, aircraft and marine vehicles. Of this purpose, the word automotive textile applies to certain forms of cloth materials , e.g. threads, filaments, yarns and fabrics used in vehicles.

Almost two-thirds of the automotive textiles are for interior trim, i.e. seat covers, carpets, roof liners and door liners.

The general classification and description:

Upholstery:

The amount of upholstery differs by country, as suppliers from various regions can choose specific vehicle interior types. Both of them woven manufacture of automotive upholstery.

Carpets:

Carpet is an important part of the interior of the car. Carpets must withstand extreme temperatures. Needle-filled carpets, tufted cut-pile carpets are commonly used. Major car manufacturers use tufted cut-pile carpets in their cars. Carpets typically have a plastic backrest.

Pre-assembled internal components :

Door kick plates, boot liners roof liners, parcel shelves and insulation (heat, sound, noise, etc.) materials are significant examples of pre-assembled interior components. Coated laminated needle-pinched non-woven and warp knits are the main materials used in this category.

Tyres:

The textile material of the type is mainly used for reinforcement purposes. Textile materials such as viscose, glass and steel cords provide both dimensional stability and reinforcement. Dimensional reliability is a crucial condition for tyres. Power is given to the tyres, mostly by the network of the fibers that lay with the body of the tyre.

Security Device

As a result of governmental pressure and legislation, safety equipment has become a growing market for automotive textiles. Seat belts and air brakes are commonly used for automotive safety. The seat belts monitor the forward acceleration of the holder in a regulated way during the abrupt stoppage of the car.

Filters and parts of the engine compartment :

Hoses, belts and linen are important vehicle engine components that are reinforced with textile materials. Automotive filters are mainly produced from textiles. Any of the filters used in the automotive industry are mainly constructed of textiles. Examples of the filter are the air filter and the oil filter.

In cars, fabrics are used in numerous types of cloth products such as circle knitted, filament knitted, woven and nonwoven frameworks. Fibers are also used as components in multi-layer composite structures. Textile products used in automobiles are expected to meet different performance requirements in the field of application. Such criteria are usually fulfilled with the usage of man-made fibers
