There are two schemes for providing training to the handicraft artisans:-
(i) Human Resource Development scheme: – Technical Training & Soft Skill Training
are provided under this scheme
(ii) Scheme for Capacity Building in Textile Sector (SCBTS) – SAMARTH–A Flagship
Skill Development Scheme under Ministry of Textiles to provide National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) compliant skilling courses.
In the last five years, Government has sanctioned Handicrafts Technical Training Programs for Development of Handicrafts in the country. The details of Handicrafts Technical Training Programs sanctioned in the last five years under Human Resource Development scheme of Office of Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) are as mentioned below:
