16th Intex Bangladesh Empowers Textile Trade and Innovation


The 16th edition of Intex Bangladesh, held from June 25–27, 2025, at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), Dhaka, concluded successfully, reaffirming its status as South Asia’s premier international sourcing platform for the textile industry.
The Grand Opening Ceremony on June 25 was graced by high-ranking officials, trade bodies, chambers of commerce, and international participants. Ms. Arti Bhagat, Executive Director, Worldex India, opened the event, followed by an inaugural address from Mr. Mahbubur Rahman, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce. Other key dignitaries included Mr. Md. Anwar Hossain (EPB), Mr. Amal Poddar (BKMEA), Mr. Faisal Samad (BGMEA), Mr. A.K.M. Saifur Rahman (BGBA), and Mr. Murali Balkrishna (TEXPROCIL), with notable attendees from LABCCI, KBCCI, BGCCI, and USBCCI. The ceremony concluded with group photos, ribbon-cutting, a VIP tour, and remarks by Mr. Rajesh Bhagat, Chairman & MD, Worldex India.

The 2025 edition welcomed exhibitors from over 10 countries including India, China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Germany, and Bangladesh. Their displays spanned sustainable yarns, performance fabrics, trims, denim, knits, and digital prints. Bangladesh’s strong local participation underlined its growing prominence as a global sourcing hub.

In total, the event attracted 6,890 trade buyers and visitors, with international participation from 22+ countries like Canada, France, the USA, the UK, UAE, China, Indonesia, and many more. Hundreds of curated B2B meetings were facilitated, forging long-term sourcing relationships across borders.
Mr. Mahbubur Rahman, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, remarked:

With its consistent commitment across 16 successful editions, the show has become an invaluable platform supporting export diversification and enhancing Bangladesh’s presence in the global marketplace.”
The Interactive Business Forum (IBF) featured two influential panels:
- Day 1 (June 26): “AI & Adaptability of Technology” focused on AI-driven transformation in design, sustainability, and manufacturing. Panelists included Mr. Minhazul Hoque, Mr. Abrar Hossain Sayem, Mr. Ahsan Mahmood, Ms. Aurélie Rob, and Mr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman, moderated by Mr. Mohammad Monower Hossain.
- Day 2 (June 27): “Tariffs & Industry Outlook” addressed rising global tariff barriers and their implications for Bangladesh’s RMG sector. Speakers included Mr. Mohammed Sohel, Mr. AKM Saifur Rahman Farhad, Mr. Mohammad Sohel Sadat, Mr. Md Jasim Uddin, and Mr. Masud Kabir, moderated by Mr. Azam Saiful.
Intex Bangladesh 2025 demonstrated its role as more than a sourcing event—it functioned as a strategic platform enabling sectoral transformation through dialogues on AI adoption, sustainability, and trade competitiveness.

Exhibitor and buyer feedback highlighted the high-quality interactions and strong business potential. Local stakeholders emphasized the event’s positive impact on elevating Bangladesh’s global reputation in the textile space.
As Intex Bangladesh 2025 concluded with resounding success, Worldex India extended thanks to all attendees and partners. The next edition is set for June 2026, promising further innovation and global engagement in Bangladesh’s textile growth journey.
