Specialty chemicals company LANXESS has implemented a price increase for adipic acid with immediate effect. The adjustment applies globally and represents an average rise of EUR 100 per ton.
According to LANXESS, the decision is linked to substantially higher raw material costs. Despite efforts to offset these increases and keep pricing stable, the company stated that a price adjustment was required to support the long-term reliability and sustainability of supply.
